Semper Fi is short for semper fidelis, Latin for "always faithful."
The Marines are always faithful to; country, honor and one another.
My theory: Once a Marine, always a Marine. There is no such thing as an ex-Marine.

I would disagree. There are ex-marines. Some people are not compatible with military life, and are pleased to put it behind them.

ReplyDeleteWill: True. I suppose when one, allegedly, kills a president, his Marine card is revoked.
And when one turns against the Marines without reading any of the reports, I am sure he is kicked out as well.
*sigh* after listening to the news today a reaccuring thought popped up, "I really wish congressman/politicians said what they actually really truly felt instead of always trying to go after the vote."
...truly wishful thinking.
