This is me. A blog about my daily life and slices-of-life. It's honest, it's funny, it's sad, it's witty, it's sarcastic, sometimes it's soapbox-ish, it sometimes rambles, sometimes it's artsy, sometimes it's dorky but, it is always honest and always me. (Which ever "me" decides to show up on that particular day.)
Simply put, it's just my daily world that I'm trying to sort out the only way I know how, through words.

inner dork: that'll learn ya
Did you know....
The earliest recorded case of someone giving up smoking was on April 5, 1679 by Johan Katsu, sheriff of Turku, Finland. He wrote in his diary, " I quit smoking tobacco." He died one month later.
totally agree. I would make a monumental life change and then..poop, gone.
Not that I would poop and then be gone, but like, poop I'm gone. Although, I guess you do technically poop when you die, but that's not my point. My point is...ah, poop. I forgot my point. That's just poopy. Wait, was that my point?
Maybe somone slipped him a "Micky Finn". Which not only negates the "giving up tobacco killed him" argument, but also creates another "inner dork" post about being the first/last(?) Finn to fall victim to a potion of the same name (similar to Lou Gehrig and his disease).
This would be my luck
ReplyDeleteYou know, they say "it's never too late to quit", but I think this case would be the exception.

Maybe if he'd given up buggering reindeer at the same time he would have lasted longer.
ReplyDeleteLimpy is right. There could've been other factors. I hear "anything goes" in Finland.
ReplyDeleteAnother good reason for me to keep smoking.

ReplyDeletelimpy: Okay, that is a visual I didn't need while eating my breakfast.
ReplyDeleteP: Which is why I want to go there...oh, unless you're refering to buggering reindeer, then I'm good right here.
Py: Many, many books about useless information. And a love for Jeopardy!
..and it does go further back than 1979..it goes back to 1679.
Saintly: exactly.
P:Hmm, I feel the need to Google that bit o' info.
Check out my latest post on The Greatness of Sliced Bread. Seems like that is the kind of thing you'd post. I'd like to read your 2 cents on it.
