true intimacy

Some might say that sex is true intimacy. I would point and laugh at them and say, sex is easy, so is being naked in front of someone. Sex isn't true intimacy.
True intimacy comes when two people can sit with their clothes on and have an intimate and stimulating conversation about anything and everything and not worry about what the other person might think of them in return.
To have an open, honest, frank, no holds barred conversation about your dreams, fears, hopes and tears with someone and be honest about all of it. Where every last breath, sentence and period of the conversation is honest, that is when true intimacy happens. When two people can be judgement free with eash other, share their fantasies whether they be sexual or professional or just plain 'ol ridiculous and not have the other person laugh at them, that is true intimacy.
I love sex, but I will be the first to admit that picking up a stranger, or having sex with someone that you either have a connection with or one that you don't, sex is easy. Being naked is a piece of cake. You're not bareing anything other than your flesh.
To have the mind fuck with someone, that is intimacy, that is what is sexy. That is sexy beyond words.
That is what I need, what I am looking for, the mind fuck. I need my mind stimulated first and foremost. If a person can stimulate my mind then everything else will come naturally.
If someone can be open and honest with me and actually knows how to have a conversation because my god, the art of conversation is proving to be dead, then the most unattractive man in the room will suddenly become the most handsome thing I ever did lay my eyes on.
I am looking for someone who is single, emotionally available, and who can stimulate my mind. The mind fuck is so sexy. The mind fuck is true intimacy.

Gives new meaning to the phrase "mind fuck". Yours is much nicer that the one I learned.

Typically when I say "mind fuck" to someone they are shocked and then say they haven't ever heard it used like that. Some have said it's the sexiest thing they have ever heard.

aeroaangel: I refuse to give up.

oswald: yeah, I think most associate mind fuck with head games.

oswald: what is the one you heard?

well we all refuse to give up, if we hadn't, we'd be dying. hope is the only thing that keeps us alive...though dr.s might tell try to tell ya otherwise...heh.

Mind fuck = to mess with one's mind.

Aeroaangel: I thought it was the alcohol fueled nights that kept us alive. It's more than possible to live without the hope of finding the one...just look at Hugh Hefner.

Party Girl: I have to agree, yours is a much nicer meaning. I've had plenty of mind fucks, most of them in the bad sense. Only one or two in that special way you're talking about, where other factors broke it up. That's life though.

I see what you're saying but I don't think you took your definition far enough. You say that the mind fuck is what true intimacy is all about. But I think you only say that b/c that part of intimacy is so much more rare in your life. You think sex is the easy part? Well, for me, that's the hardest part. I don't know why, it just is. I wish it weren't but you play with the cards you're dealt. The mind fuck is the easy part for me. I'm comfortable talking about all issues and I feed off of people that I'm around. Where you might say you could fuck me easily, I might say I could mind fuck you in the same way.

Although, I think you are on the right track for what true intimacy might be. However, I feel that genuine, true intimacy is being able to combine that physical and mental stimulation in such a way that it connects on all levels for the two people involved.

Tough to find someone you can share mind time with, something done during sex can be forgotten but to sit and rationally say something to another that they will remember, that's scary. I agree with oswald croll though, the phrase "mind fuck" has a lot of negative connotation.
