SOLD!

I sold a painting! I sold a painting!
(...and repeat to infinity.)

I'll admit, when she told me which of my paintings she liked the most, and essentially wanted a copy of, and then told me the colors she wanted, I was apprehensive.
I'll admit it wasn't until I was in the middle of the painting that I saw the colors complimenting each other.
I don't know how you could look at the painting and not have your mood brighten.
In the midst of moving it was nice to have an art project to work on this weekend.
All of that on top of being paid for my artwork, c'mon, are you kidding me? When I take a moment to enjoy this thing called life, I realize that my life really is a verb.

That's really excellent. I remember the first time the band I was in sold CDs to someone (someone we didn't know, I mean) and I was like, "Really? You'll give us $10 for this?"

Sweet! Now you can say you are a comissioned artist. Yeah! Sounds very dramatic doesn't it?

Apple: ah, thanks.

Limpy: I am so glad you agree.

P: I know! It's like, really? Really, really? You mean you like it AND you're willing to pay me...and pay me my asking price?!?!?!!?

GG: Me likey!

I do like the painting, reminds me of the Chicago Bears though...ugh. But the color recreation is cool, and the fact you got paid for it is even better!!!

Awesome! I love the colors! Hurray for you! Now let's bust out the champagne to celebrate!

Nothing quite reassures you that the time, effort, and mental agony was worthwhile than having someone else recognize it enough to pay for it. Congrats.

ptg: I know. The whole I was painting it I kept trying to remember what football teams colors they were!

Bre: Ah, what a lovely idea! No bubbly in the fridge, but I do have beer...and vodka. I have a final tonight and I think I might need one or the other...perhaps both.

Nick: Thanks! It was awesome to get the check, the thanks, and to hear the heartfelt, "I LOVE IT!" from the buyer!
Now.
Let's hope this isn't the first or the last time I hear it!

I'm pretty sure this isn't the last time you'll hear "I love it", from an art buyer or otherwise.

Outstanding! Have you ever heard the saying that if you find a job doing what you like, you'll never need a vacation? I'm happy for you.

Congrats - but now you have lost your amateur status.

I didn't get this reaction when I bought a painting! :) Long time. I would ask the polite question "How have you been?" but it's all right here.
