I'm with pyrhonik. Those pics sure hit it home that a shitload of Americans have died for what they believe in.

Thanks everyone. I hope you all had a great fourth as well, even those of you who aren't American. Speaking of which, I had a great Canada Day as well. I hope you did, too!

I think sometimes we lose perspective about what our holidays are really about. Memorial day and the Fourth being just two of them. I think we think they're nothing more than a day off and a reason to drink and have BBQ, or to blow stuff up. Don't get me wrong, I think I fall into that category as well. Sometimes though, I get a wake-up call.
