note to self: when bending over

(When going out to my deck garden to pick some fresh tomatoes for dinner.)
If I am wearing a short little sun dress, bend at the knee, not at the waist.
Neighbors will not be present when I first start to pick the fresh fruit, but they will suddenly appear when I turn around to go inside. They will have a sly smile on their face. I will suddenly know why.

So, do you garden? To see the rest of the harvest go to:

I attempt (which is really putting it nicely) to garden - don't often do well, but I do attempt!

Be nice to your neighbours and bend at the waiste. How about the Bend and Snap from Legally Blond?

sorry about the great spelling of waist.

My nanna would have popped you for that one! She used to flick a wet towel end at us if she ever caught us bending at the waist (why do nannas always seem to have a wet towel with them?) so now I'm good and trained to bend at the knees!

The Spousal Unit does a fair bit of gardening. Lots of flower gardens and a 600 (or so) square foot vegetable garden. Our neighbors aren't too close so I generally encourage waist bending for my own benefit.

Love the story chica. I have this rule, go to garden in pajamas...always.

I garden. We have many heirloom tomatoes, grape tomatoes, zucchini, basil, green peppers, rosemary, and mint. We hope to expand the veggie garden when our backyard project is complete.

ptg: ah, brown thumb, huh? I mean that in terms of killing things. I actually don't mean anything dirty by ut.

Jeff: Yes, I believe in saying, 'hi' in my own special way.
And don't worry about spelling mistakes. You must be new to my blog.

Bre: Agh! My dad use to do that. I HATED it!

Phollower: I am jealous of the size of your garden.
I applaud the waist bending.

Karl: I think I am queen of the oops.

Egan: My dream would be to own a house out in the country with a HUGE yard. The backyard is nothing by flowers and there is a veggie garden off to the side.

Mark: On or off???

P: Oh, you are cleva' grasshappa.

this made me laugh very hard...and the tomatoes kind of look like a butt also, so it added to the comedy.
