Imagine my surprise when I kept hearing men comment on the great articles featured in every months issue of Playboy. I have to say, I subscribe and I have never, (not once) have I ever read any of these articles. Never. I read the jokes, (I've even used a few of them on men and I look at them to see if they have already heard it) I look at the pretty pictures, I might glance at the articles to see if there is anything I might care to read, but nope, can't say as I ever have read any of the articles. I started to read the article in lst months issue about Marilyn Monroe, I read part of it and I might go back to finish it. (I plan to copy shop one of her pictures from the spread and frame it up in my apartment)I however, read it for the pictures. (huh?)
Now, this being said, I have to say. Although I think the women are beautiful, I find their fake boobes and fake blonde hair (typically fake hair, always fake boobs) annoying. Their profiles are hilarious (I actually do read these) and could be copied and pasted from month to month. Their handwriting resembles mine in 7th grade. So, why do I keep subsribing? Well, it's only $12.00 a year (cheap-o-rama) and I like looking at naked women. Nuff said.

exactly! I agree, I think all females have, or want to look at Playboy, be in Playboy or want a subscription to Playboy.
i want to be in playboy, ok yes, confessing...caught me! but i also have a huge collection of them myself...all of which i did NOT pay for...and we all know there's nothing better than free naked women! oh yeah *family guy voice* and then, i have to say also...the first time i looked at a playboy, i thought there was too many articles in there...i was like, where's all the naked chicks? heh.
If there is anything in Playboy worth reading it is the interviews.
With that being said I haven't picked up a Playboy since I've had hair on my nuts (which I shave often, but that's besides the point). I don't think looking at stills of naked women is all that arousing. Sure I love the form and appreciate what it takes for a woman to look so gorgeous, but...
... she's just laying there. Is that all that interesting? If I get a woman naked I'm not just going to want to lay there.
Yeah- it's kind of a watershed moment when you realize that, first, there are articles in Playboy - and second, even more strange when you realize that some are quite good.
12 bucks for Playboy? I haven't read one in a while either, but I can't imagine readership went south that much that they're almost giving it away.
I buy Playboy for the jokes, the cartoons, the cover bunny head search and lastly the pictures. The articles are actually readable, too, but I don't read it cover to cover.
I think the reason it is so cheap is because it has been around forever. However, mostly becaue of magazines such as FHM and Maxim are taking over. Honestly, I don't like fake boobs, so on a more un-airbrushed (ha!) I would go for FHM and Maxim, less fake boob-age.
Not only am I a subscriber I'm a collector. Yes, believe it or not these things are collector items. Not even sure how many I have actually, most of them are boxed up and put away.
